Music vs Films

Music vs Films

Music and films are 2 of the most popular art form on this planet and they both have such a long history. But which one do you think is better?

I would always go with music because I'm a huge nerd when it comes to music but if we want to give the film side a fair share then we can also focus on how expressive these 2 art forms can be. Some would argue that films can express things better than music does because it has both visuals and sounds while music only has sounds. But good art doesn't need to have visuality. The beauty of music is that the artist will have to express their feeling, an emotion, or a thought just through sound. And if the films we watch nowadays don't have any music on then it can litterally change the entire film's direction and tone.

Another thing that music edges over films is that it can be enjoyed and consumed a lot easier. I can listen to music while I'm on the bus and it helps me go through with my day. But I can never imagine myself watching a film or a Netflix series while I'm on the bus especially when they are 30+ minutes long. Now if I were to take a long flight then I would actually agree that the film wins in terms of entertainment you get on a flight.

In the end, this is just a mindless debate I wanted to make for fun. Obviously it's up to your personal preference whether you prefer music or films. It would be impossible for me if I would start to try and make an actual debate about this because I barely watch any films and I don't know much about choreography as much as I know about music. But in the very end, I just want to say that music is still better.

🎩[Announcement] In the next articles , I will start to add a "Banger" section where I link the music I really like and have been listening to. But actually I will give you 1 track for today as well! This is just a space for me to share the stuff I like and I don't ever expect anyone to listen to it :)
